Big Sky Season 2: Release Date, Plot, Cast And More Details

If you have already watched the thrillers on various streaming platforms then we have some good news for you. If you are a fan of Big Sky season 1 then the show has been renewed for season 2. If you are waiting for some new content then ABC Big Sky will be coming out soon with another season. The series left the fans on a cliffhanger when it ended in December.

What happened in Big Sky Season 1?

If you have seen the pilot of “Big Sky” then you would agree that the makers are taking some major risks. The series followed the story of two detectives — Cody Hoyt (Ryan Phillippe) and Cassie Dewell (Kylie Bunbury). They were seen solving crimes together and also formed a romantic partnership.

It is a thriller series and it takes a new turn when Cody is murdered in the first episode. Ryan Phillippe is a big name in the industry and came as a shocker to his fans as he was killed in the first episode. The fans were hooked on the show from the very first episode.

Big Sky Season 2 plot

Throughout “Big Sky” Season 1, Cassie and Jenny are searching for men who are responsible for a couple of abductions. The kidnapping incidents occur in Montana and Cody’s death also occurred there. The detectives don’t like each other at first but later set aside their differences and work together to find proof to solve the cases.

Season 2 will focus on Cassie and Jenny again and they will be seen solving new cases. We don’t have any plot details about Season 2 but we will surely see a lot of mystery and thrill. Season 2 will likely see Cassie and Jenny set up their own detective team and they will be solving crimes that the police can’t.

Big Sky Season 2 Release Date

Season 1 of “Big Sky” was released in November of 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the production for the new season was suspended. Season 2 got delayed and it seems like season 2 of “Big Sky” will be released in September of 2021.

Big Sky Season 2 Cast

The cast for season 2 will remain the same and will be reprising their roles in Season 2 of “Big Sky.” If a new plot is added to the show then we can expect Kylie Bunbury and Katheryn Winnick to reprise their roles as well. Their characters went through a lot in the first season and It’ll be interesting to see what challenges are thrown to their friendship during Season 2.

Ryan Phillippe’s character might make a return in season 2 as well. No official announcement has been made about Phillippe’s involvement in the show but we are hoping to get him back as well. Other actors who return to the show in season 2 include John Carroll Lynch, Brian Geraghty, Ted Levine, and Dedee Pfeiffer.
