Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2: Release Date, Gameplay And Everything We Know So Far

Vampires have stood for so many things over the year. In the European medieval folklore vampires were used as metaphor to indicate disease or outsider roaming the darkness beyond the village. In the world of Vampire: The Masquerade-Bloodlines 2, however, the vampires are seen to be the bloodsuckers who have made their way into the finance and state. Vampire: The Masquerade-Bloodlines 2 to be exact is a follow-up to Vampire: The Masquerade-Bloodlines, a 2004 title that was itself an implicit sequel to Vampire: The Masquerade-Redemption.

It is an upcoming action role-playing video game developed by HardsuitLabs and published by Paradox Interactive. The story is being written by Brian Mitsoda, who wrote the first game as well. It is a combination of a first-person role-playing game. The story shifts from Santa Monica to Seattle, where your character and multiple others are turned into vampires in a highly illegal “mass embrace”. The character of Seattle is seen to be a 21st century human who is killed and revived as a thin blood vampire with weak vampiric abilities.

As a vampire in the World of Darkness, you have to figure out your place and travel through a shabby underbelly while using vampiric powers. Every decision you make influences your outcomes and you cannot easily break the sinister charade, the veil that keeps the world and other night creatures apart from humans. This game will provide impressive techniques and role-playing experience where decisions matter.

Gameplay and features:

This game was first made possible in 2015, when Paradox Interactive purchased White Wolf, which owns the World of Darkness setting. The game takes place entirely at night to put an impression of dark themes. Before you start playing the game and turn yourself into thin blood vampire, you can choose your human background such as a policeman or barista. These backgrounds aid you to get different bounces. After starting the game, the thinblood must choose from the upgraded vampire powers i.e. Chiropteran, Mentalism, and Nebulation. You can adapt your character’s appearance and name.

The game is mainly presented from first person perspective, but it changes into third person due to circumstantial activities such as specific attacks. There are five different vampire clans and the thin blood vampire is free to choose any of it. There are five different parties in Seattle as well, you can join multiple factions, but they may get into conflict with each other.

List of clans in Vampire: The Masquerade-Bloodlines 2

While your character starts as a Thinblood vampire and you will choose one of three Thinblood disciplines, then you will eventually be able to choose between one of five greater clans. They are the Brujah, Tremere, Toreador, Ventrue and Malkavian clans. Each clan is famous for its own abilities, strengths and weaknesses. The Brujah are known to be physically strong, The Tremere for employing blood magic, the Toreador are supernaturally seductive, Venture are treacherously authoritative and domineering and lastly the Malkavians suffer madness that enable them to see the hidden realities of the world.
