DMX’s real name is Earl Simmons. He was born on December 18, 1970, in Mount Vernon, New York. He was brought up by his mother, Arnett Simmons. He was born to his mother when he was19 years old.
When Simmons turned 5, his family moved to Yonkers, New York. He grew up in the Jehovah’s Witness community and had a troubled childhood. He was physically abused by his mother and her partners.
