As we have already discussed above that Batman Spin off shows were being planned. However it seems that HBO Max has given a green signal to the batman spinoff that features the Penguin story. This penguin show will soon turn out to be a batman spinoff series. Even the GCPD and Jim Gordon’s show may happen as well, but no official orders are given.

The Penguin show will revolve around the story of Oswald Cobblepot (Colin Farrell). He will work hard to make his way to the top of Gotham City’s Underworld. This story can capture a lot of hearts and HBO Max will try hard to bring a masterpiece for the fans. The director of Batman Matt Reeves will be the executive producer along with Farrell himself. Previously announced Batman’s spinoff that revolved around Gotham is put on hold. Here is what the director has to say:

“The series was going to be kind of like Prince of the City, where it was going to be year one,” said Reeves in a quote from the podcast interview transcribed by The Wrap. “Because the movie is year two, and I wanted it to be the first appearance. But it wasn’t going to be a Batman story, it was going about this corrupt cop’’. And it was going to be about how the worst gang in Gotham were the GCPD. And [Bruce] was going to come across paths with Gordon’’.

Lauren LeFranc (Agents of SHIELD, Chuck) will become the show runner of this series. In his recent interview he expressed his excitement on being a part of it. This is what he has to say:

“The world that Matt Reeves created for The Batman is one that warrants a deeper gaze through the eyes of Oswald Cobblepot. I couldn’t be more excited about continuing this exploration of Oz as he rises through the darkened ranks to become The Penguin. Will be good to get him back on the streets of Gotham for a little madness and a little mayhem.”

Meanwhile, fans can also expect to see a sequel for ‘The Batman’. However nothing is official at this moment. There are some media portals that are dropping hints for a possible sequel. For now we can wait and see what’s in store for the audiences. Batman is already in theaters now and you can catch up with it.
