US President Donald Trump gave a big statement on India and Pakistan relationship

After the removal of Article 370, Donald Trump made a big statement about the relationship between India and Pakistan.

US President Donald Trump has given a big statement about the current relationship between India and Pakistan. He said that in the last two weeks, the atmosphere between the two countries has cooled down a bit compared to before. Let me tell you that this statement of Donald Trump has come after meeting PM Modi two weeks ago. The two leaders met during the G7 meeting. US President Donald Trump said that everyone is aware that there is a dispute between India and Pakistan about Kashmir from the very beginning. I think the atmosphere is better now than two weeks ago. He said that I have spoken to both countries. If both countries want, then I can help them. Donald Trump said this to reporters at the Whitehouse.

It is worth mentioning that a few days ago Donald Trump had also talked about becoming a mediator between the two countries to settle the Kashmir dispute. US President Donald Trump had offered ‘mediation’ between India and Pakistan on the Kashmir issue. Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan met Trump for the first time at the White House where the two leaders discussed a range of issues. The Indian government denied the shocking claim of US President Trump that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had asked him to mediate on Kashmir. Foreign Ministry spokesman Ravish Kumar had tweeted that we have seen the statement given by the US President to the press in which he said that if India and Pakistan make a request then they are ready to mediate on Kashmir issue. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has not made any such request to the US President.

Now the US State Ministry had tweeted that Kashmir is a bilateral issue and both sides should discuss it. The tweet reads, ‘Kashmir is a bilateral issue, which both sides should discuss. The Trump administration welcomes the talks between India and Pakistan and the US is always ready to help.

At the same time, Foreign Ministry spokesman Ravish Kumar said that India’s consistent position has been that all the pending issues with Pakistan will be discussed only bilaterally. For any interaction with Pakistan, a ban on cross-border terrorism will be necessary. Compliance of Shimla agreement and Lahore manifesto will be the basis for resolving all issues between India and Pakistan. Trump claimed that Prime Minister Modi had asked him to meditate on the Kashmir issue.

The US President claimed that Modi and he had discussed the Kashmir issue on the sidelines of the G-20 summit in Osaka, Japan last month where Indian Prime Minister Modi offered him third-party mediation on Kashmir. Trump had said that I was with Prime Minister Modi two weeks ago and we talked about this subject (Kashmir). And they actually said, ‘Would you like to be a mediator or arbitrator?’ I said, ‘Where?’ (Modi said) ‘Kashmir. Because it has been going on for many years. I wonder how long this has been going on. ‘ Trump said that if both countries say they are ready to help.
