 Research Breakthrough

 Starting Saturday, January 1, 2022, at 1:00 PM and Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at 1:00 PM PST (GMT −8), the fans of Pokemon can encounter Onix and will be able to receive Mega Steelix Energy. This is going to be something that you may call a Research Breakthrough ever.

All the players who don’t have Shiny Onix, are in for a surprise. The Shiny Onex will be Shiny-boosted. The Mega Steelix Energy reward is going to be the main feature. The Mega Raids will also be updated. The Mega Energy will be the Breakthrough staple and will be updated with some new features.

Speaking of Megas, the players will see the Mega Aerodactyl arrive in Pokémon GO. It will arrive in January. This new feature will replace Mega Abaomasnow on January 7th, 2022. The Mega Raid boss will be arriving on February 1st, 2022.

While we weren’t given a full breakdown of the Legendaries till then we will be giving you the list of Raid Hours. This feature will give you a hint about the arrival of a new Drive for Genesect. The return of Heatran and Regice in January’s Raid Hours are listed below:

    • Wednesday, January 5, 2022: Kyurem
    • Wednesday, January 12, 2022: Heatran
    • Wednesday, January 19, 2022: Shock Drive Genesect
    • Wednesday, January 26, 2022: Regice

Pokemon Go’s new content will be released in January 2022.

  • New Year’s event: The event will arrive on December 31, 2021, and will last till January 4, 2022
  • Mountains of Power: The event will start on January 7 and will last till January 13
  • An Electric- and Steel-themed event will be inspired by the Kanto Power Plant and it will arrive on January 19 and last till January 30
