Star Girl has been adapted by comics and if we go by the story of the comics that Gaffigan’s character will be a mischievous one. He will be playing a Thunderbolt, who is a mischievous wish-granting pink. He will be seen working for Johnny Thunder, who is a member of the first JSA. His wish-granting will be seen as causing trouble and would not create peace for the person who asks for the wish.
Thunderbolt’s appearance was hinted at in the first season of the show. Courtney and her stepfather Pat were seen visiting the old JSA headquarters and they were seen finding a pink pen there.
Pat had warned Star girl that this weapon is one of the most powerful weapons that the JSA had. The arsenal might be full of weapons but this one is the most powerful one. Courtney didn’t pay attention to it and had disregarded it. He threw it into her pen holder and did not care about her. This caused the genie-like spirit to be released into the world.

CW which is the official broadcaster of the show hasn’t announced any official release date of the show. Star Girl season 2 might not release this year and we can expect the show to release next year. We are waiting for the official announcement of the show.
