Archive 18 is a supernatural series that is based on a podcast of the same name. It is one of the first major new Netflix series that has arrived on Netflix in 2022. The series was originally announced by Netflix in October 2020. The series is extremely intriguing and focuses on an archivist who goes down a rabbit hole to uncover mysteries.
He unveils the mysterious and tragic event that occurred 25 years earlier. Rebecca Sonnenshine, who has been the writer of some of the episodes of The Boys, is the showrunner on the series. The script of the show is written by Emily Rose and Paul Harris Boardman.

Archive 81 cast
Mamoudou Athie and Altered Carbon’s Dina Shihabi play the lead characters in the show. They play Dan Turner and Melody Pednras respectively. The lead stars are joined by the supporting stars that include Martin Donovan (Tenet), Matt McGorry (Orange Is the New Black), Julia Chan (Katy Keene), Evan Jonigkeit (Frontier), and Ariana Neal (Hidden Figures).

The show is based on the first season of the podcast. It tells the story of an archivist who gets drawn into a mystery while searching for a documentary filmmaker. The filmmaker disappeared 25 years earlier, while he was investigating a cult.

“Archive 81 tells the story of an archivist Dan Turner. He takes on the job of restoring a collection of damaged videotapes that were disappeared in 1994. He comes across the work of the documentary filmmaker named Melody Pendras. He gets involved in her investigation related to a dangerous cult located at the Visser apartment building.
“As the season unfolds Dan gets obsessed to uncover what happened to Melody. The two characters form a mysterious connection, and Dan starts to believe that he can save her from the terrible end she met 25 years ago.
