Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord Release Date, Platforms, Gameplay and all New Update

Fans have been waiting for Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord since the announcement of the development of the game and the teaser trailer was first released in September 2012. After seven years of development, the game is now all set to be released in March 2020. Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord is one of the most anticipated games of 2020 developed by the Turkish video game developers, TaleWorlds Entertainment.

Release date of Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord:

The long wait is finally over and an early access version of the game is set to be released on March 31, 2020, on PC via Valve’s Steam platform. The game has been in development for seven years and the developers have released a steady stream of trailers and gameplay footage in these years. The first one emerged in 2012 but it did not say much about the game. In Gamescom 2016, TaleWorlds showed up with three new trailers focusing on the sieging mechanics. They then showed three new trailers focusing on the mechanics of sergeant gameplay in Gamescom 2017. A campaign trailer was released in 2018 and TaleWorlds released the trailer of the game on August 20, 2019, and announced the release of the game scheduled for March 2020.

The closed beta was available to only a selected number of players which allowed the developers to test the game and make the necessary changes based on the testers’ feedback. The closed beta for the games happened a few months ago and the open beta registration is accessible now.

Platforms the game will be available on:

Players will be able to play the game on Microsoft Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 so that all the players across the world can enjoy the game no matter what device they have.

The gameplay of the game:

Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord is a medieval combat simulator game with a lot of RPG elements. The game takes place in Calradia 200 years before Mount & Blade: Warband. Calradia is in chaos due to war and the player must salvage the situation to rise to power.

TaleWorlds has announced that they will be keeping the open-ended sandbox gameplay intact. The players will bring peace to Calradia by leading a group of followers around a medieval sandbox. The world map with its simplified strategic overview of Calradia will be returning to the game, the excellent directional swordplay of the original game will also make a return, and there will be an equal emphasis on reputation and morale.

Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord will have more siege battles involving hundreds of troops storming into castles. Friendly villages, towns or cities will have their personalities to discover and difficulties to overcome and the player will be able to enter them. Your abilities will also level up the more you practice them. Furthermore, the new version features six breeds of horses including Desert Horses, Highland Ponies, Saddle Horses, Steppe Horses, Sturgian Horses, and Vlandian Horses all of which can be trained to be a warhorse.

Latest updates:

The full-fledged online multiplayer component is included in Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord much like the original game. Five players can fight against one another in captain mode. Mod support is also included in Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord. The players can tinker with all the tools available to create new mods.

The game is highly anticipated by fans and whether it makes up for the 7-year long wait or not, we can only wait and watch!
