Story
Motherless Brooklyn is a story about a detective who has a rare kind of disease known as Tourette syndrome. It’s a different kind of subject which has not been shown much in the films as yet and this is where the film scores good marks from the critics. The film is set in the 1950 era. The cars, automobiles, shops and polished cars all seem to perfectly fit with the setup.
Lionel Essrog the character played by Norton is difficult to play, as he is shown a person who cannot speak well because of his syndrome. Norton who is a detective in the movie is blessed with good memory and that’s how he solves the cases well. The detective Lionel is on a mission to expose the corruption of a politician. Norton’s best friend and mentor Frank Minna are killed and he tries to gather all the clues to complete his mission. Every scene of the film is shown in a realistic way.
