Defamation Lawsuit Against Amber Heard

Depp filed the defamation lawsuit against Heard in 2019 when she accused him of abuse allegations. On the first day of the defamation trial, Heard’s attorney Ben Rottenborn revealed in an opening statement that the evidence will show that his client suffered from domestic abuse by Depp. The abuse “took many forms,” that included emotional, psychological, physical and verbal abuse.

A spokesperson revealed:

“You will hear in the most horrifying terms about the violence that she suffered,” Rottenborn said at the time about Heard’s upcoming testimony. “You’ll hear that straight from her. She will get on the stand and she will tell you that. It happened.”

A spokesperson for Johnny Depp revealed :

Heard’s abuse claims were fictitious and “only advantageously surfaced years later once she was sued for defamation after noting in her op-ed that she was a victim of ‘sexual violence.'”

The trial is still in its early stages but there is a strong defence that clarifies whether Amber Heard’s physical abuse allegations against Depp are true or not. The team of lawyers have been defending the actor. According to them they are doing this in order to advance their career. The team Heard has not shown any specific evidence for their claims.
