Turkey has stopped military operations against the Kurds after talks with the United States

Turkey and the United States agreed on a ceasefire against the Kurds in Syria, after which Turkey announced a ceasefire in Syria and gave the Kurds five days to leave.

US Vice President Mike Pence arrived in Ankara to meet Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on the ceasefire and conveyed the message of US President Donald Trump, accompanied by Foreign Minister Mike Pompeo.

Following the meeting, the two leaders held a press conference in which Mike Pence said that after talks between the United States and Turkey, Turkey has temporarily suspended the operation against the Kurds, under the agreement between the two countries. Will allow up to five days (120 hours) to depart.

Mike Pence said that during the 120-hour ceasefire, the United States will help Kurdish forces evacuate the area that Turkey wants to create a safe zone for millions of refugees and will be established along the Turkish border. ۔

The US announces no further sanctions on Turkey

Mike Pence also said that no further sanctions will be imposed on Turkey after the deal, with both Turkey and the United States united against ISIS.

It should be noted that Turkey launched military action against Kurdish paramilitary troops gathered at its border last week, after which Europe and the US criticized Turkey.

In this regard, President Trump not only imposed severe economic sanctions on Turkey but also wrote a very stern letter in the name of the Turkish president, which analysts called diplomatic manners.

It should be noted that after the withdrawal of US forces from the Syrian area adjacent to Turkey, there was a crisis and Turkey wants to build a safe zone there with 5 million Syrian refugees.
