Trump Threatens To ‘cut Off The Whole Relationship’ With China Over COVID-19 Crisis

United States President Donald Trump launched a scathing attack on China on Thursday, May 14, as he threatened to completely end ties between the United States and China over the latter’s alleged reluctance to share complete information about COVID. -19.

Trump was speaking to Fox Business News when he said cutting ties with China would save them $ 500 billion, reiterating his earlier accusation that the communist state is “swindling” the United States on trade deficits. When asked if he had spoken to his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping about it, Trump said, “I have a very good relationship, but at the moment I don’t want to speak to him.”

Trump during the interview also joined Pompeo’s claims, saying that when the United States offered to help Chinese authorities, they simply refused to add, “for what was stupidity, incompetence, or deliberation.”

In a letter acquired by Fox Network, Trump’s national security adviser Robert O’Brien and National Economic Council President Larry Kudlow wrote to the US Secretary of Labor. The US, Eugene Scalia, claiming that the White House does not want the Savings Savings Plan, a federal employee retirement fund, to invest in Chinese equities, as it would expose the funds to “significant and unnecessary financial risk.”

Trump also said he will review legislation introduced in the Senate on Tuesday that proposes sanctions on China, in response to Beijing’s unwillingness to share complete information about the outbreak.
