The Prime Minister of Hesse Volker Bouffier (CDU) at the first meeting of the newly elected state Parliament today for re-election.

It will be a first test for the new edition of the black-green coalition government in Hesse, which has in the Parliament in Wiesbaden, Germany, on a wafer-thin majority of one seat. All the 69 members of the CDU and the Greens need to be present and for Bouffier, and that the Alliance can lead to 67-Year-old in the second term.

Before the election of the Minister President more votes in the Parliament. Among other things, the former science Minister Boris Rhein (CDU), the new Parliament is to be President. In addition, the deputies have to decide on the Vice-President. The meeting will be opened by the oldest MP, the AfD-politician Rolf Kahnt. The AfD is represented for the first time in the Hessian state Parliament and sitting in all German länder parliaments and in the Bundestag.
