The Deputy head of the SPD group in the Bundestag, Matthias Miersch, has argued for greater citizen participation in the Development of wind power.
“We need to take note that there are increasing resistance against the Expansion of wind energy,” said Miersch the German press Agency. “Therefore, we need actionable ideas to get more acceptance in the population for further wind energy plants. This early binding of citizen participation in the planned wind farms, increased participation of citizens and municipalities during the planning process, and financial incentives for the location of the municipalities.”
Federal Minister for economic Affairs, Peter Altmaier (CDU) had to make due to a sharp decline in the Expansion of wind power in a crisis, with the industry as well as the countries announced. In the first half of the year, the Expansion of wind power on Land had come almost to a Standstill. As the main reasons for the industry had procedures, long approval and many of the actions called. Against the construction of wind turbines, as well as many local citizens ‘ initiatives contact.
Brandenburg’s Prime Minister Dietmar Woidke (SPD) had demanded in the face of ongoing protests against the construction of new wind turbines to change course. “The people must be beneficiaries of the energy transition – and not victims,” said Woidke of the dpa. It’s going to be a fair distribution of current costs and a fair distribution of the concrete stresses due to wind power – or a significant compensation for it. The municipalities would need to get more of a voice.
Miersch said: “However, the further Expansion of wind power may not be impossible.” The coal Commission had rightly found that the energy transition is only feasible if the target of renewables will be achieved. By 2030, the renewable electricity is expected to rise to 65 percent in the first half of the year, the contribution to the coverage of the electricity consumption according to Figures from the energy Association BDEW at 44 percent. The share of wind turbines in the country was 19 percent.
The use of hydrogen offers great opportunities, said Miersch, who is the group Vice-responsible for environment and energy: “Therefore, we need to get started in a competitive hydrogen economy, especially in the Coal phase-affected regions. Further exploration and testing in real labs must be followed by an adjustment of the regulatory framework. The proposals of the coal Commission, are fast to implement.”
The social Democrat said: “Since one and a half years, we have been waiting for firm Commitments, as it is with the wind power expansion on Land and at sea to go. Therefore, the SPD has already called for the end of June, a wind power summit by the Federal Chancellor. Economy Minister Altmaier must leave on the wind power summit in early September, finally, all the Talk into action.”
A working group of the black-red coalition to acceptance of the energy transition – so the conversion to Eco-electricity is supposed to submit to the spring of a paper. Professional politicians of the CDU and the SPD but could not agree.
