Terminator Dark Fate 2019: Release Date, Trailer, Synopsis, Cast And Summary Of The Film

When talking about science fiction movies, “Terminator” is inevitable in the conversation. After some years of silence, the franchise will return to the cinema at the end of the year 2019 with its sixth installment, with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton once again leading as in the two original films of the saga.

“Terminator: Dark Fate” (“Terminator: Hidden Destination” in Latin America and “Terminator: Dark Destination” in Spain) is the title of the new movie of the ‘Exterminators’ and despite being the sixth title of the franchise, no It will resume the events of the latest films, but will rescue the original story, while introducing new faces and characters that continue the legacy in a trilogy. James Cameron himself, director of the first two films, said “Dark Fate” will basically reinvent the franchise, which he is returning as a producer.

“Terminator” emerged in 1984 as the story of Sarah Connor, a woman who is persecuted by a murderous android of the future, because her son, John, will be the leader of humanity’s last resistance against the machines that will unleash the apocalypse on earth. If Sarah dies, John will never be born.

After the second film of the franchise, the plot addressed other timelines, although always with Arnold Schwarzenegger as the T800 and the spirit of John Connor around. However, these stories are being dismissed in the sixth film, which returns to the origins of everything.

“Dark Fate” was originally known as “Terminator: Phoenix”, but at the end that was just his production name. Tim Miller (“Deadpool”) has directed the film that at least in the United States is rated R. That is, for people over 17 years. The first three titles of the franchise received the same classification, while the last two were PG-13.

History And Synopsis Of “Terminator: Dark Fate”:

“Dark Fate” is set several years after “Terminator 2: Judgment Day” (1991) – perhaps in another timeline – and ignores the events of the other three films in the franchise. That is, the film directed by Tim Miller works as a restart for the saga and includes an unexpected turn in its history: the alleged absence of John Connor.

The new film marks the return of Linda Hamilton as Sarah Connor, whom today comes to the aid of a girl chased by a new Liquid Metal Terminator. And at the request of Sarah herself, the old T-800 would join the battle.

According to Cameron, Schwarzenegger represents a completely different T-800 in “Dark Fate”, while Sarah Connor is presented “to fight” against the threat of Skynet, which does not cease in its attempt to annihilate humanity.

Sarah Connor, the iconic heroine represented by Linda Hamilton, died of cancer in “Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines,” but since the arc of that movie was set aside, “Dark Fate” is a new opportunity to watch her fight and If this is the case, give it a worthy end instead of disappearing it off the screen.

“Terminator: Dark Fate” is also designed to pass the post to a new generation of characters, especially Dani Ramos, played by Natalia Reyes, and the “murderous soldier” Grace, by Mackenzie Davis.

“Terminator: Dark Fate” Trailer:

The first trailer of “Terminator: Dark Fate” was released on Thursday, May 23 worldwide and it is seen the return of Sarah Connor and the Terminator T-800 from Schwarzenegger. The new characters are also presented, including the new ‘Exterminator’.

The advance shows that Sarah Connor joins the fight of Grace, a human with robotic parts, to save Dani Ramos from the new Terminator.

“Why are you interested in what happens?” Grace asks Sarah in the trailer. “Because I was her,” he replies before introducing the Schwarzenegger Terminator, for some reason now old.

The Mexican actor Diego Boneta also appears in the trailer, but it seems that his participation will not last long.

Previously, some behind the scenes were shared about the production process of “Dark Fate”, without revealing any details of the plot.

Upon his return to the franchise, Linda Hamilton commented that “only a script, a story, a cast and alive like this could bring me back.” During the CinemaCon of April 2019 in Las Vegas, the actress who plays Sarah Connor said it was an opportunity she could not refuse.

During the CinemaCon 2019 a first footage of “Terminator: Dark Fate” was also shared that has not been published online, but whose description has been leaked:

According to Comic Book, the advance begins in Mexico City, where a road suddenly freezes until an orb emerges in the middle of a bridge, causing several cars to collide. However, the action occurs under the bridge.

A couple kisses on the hood of a car until a woman falls off the bridge, completely naked. Both approach and discover that she is alive, but the police intervene and try to stop them without success because the character of Mackenzie Davis knocks them down without killing them. Lovers thank her for releasing them, only she wants something in return: “Don’t thank me yet.”

Elsewhere, Gabriel Luna’s Terminator emerges near a car accident, while Grace tells Dani Ramos that “when he starts killing me, he runs away.” However, Sarah Connor appears on the scene, knocks down a clone of the Terminator with her car and the one that would be the original destroys it with a rocket launcher. In the end, Connor drops a grenade and before leaving to stop with a shotgun another ‘Exterminator’ says “I’ll be back.”

‘Terminator 6’ Cast:

The cast of ‘ Terminator: Dark Destination ‘ has the return of several of the protagonists of the first films of the saga. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who is the image of the franchise, is back in this new installment, as is Linda Hamilton, who will resume her character, Sarah Connor, 28 years later.

The one who seems not to repeat (unless they are keeping it a secret) is Edward Furlong, who played John Connor in ‘Terminator 2: The Last Judgment’. Yes, there will be new signings like Mackenzie Davis, who will play Grace; Gabriel Luna, who will be a new Terminator.

‘Terminator 6’ Director:
