The contributions to the care insurance will have to rise according to a study, in six years, in order to cover the growing costs of an ageing society.

The “Süddeutsche Zeitung” reported, citing a study commissioned by the Bertelsmann Foundation. Therefore, the researchers of the economic research Institute Prognos calculated that the contribution between the years 2025 and 2045 will rise to 4.25 percent. At the beginning of the year, the contribution rate by 0.5 points, to 3.05 percent of gross income.

In their analysis, the researchers also assume that by the year 2045, five million people in Germany care to be in need of. In the year 2017, it was vulnerable only 3.3 million.

In the care industry itself is the mood according to a survey from bad to worse. The editors ‘ network, Germany (Wednesday), citing the “Care-climate-Index” commissioned by the German care tags that should be presented on Wednesday. In a representative survey by the end of 2018 under the nurses, Doctors, patient, relatives as well as representatives of funds and organisations, 29 percent of the respondents judged accordingly to the quality of care as “poor”.
