The basic law and its values must law be anchored to the Conviction of the Federal President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier stronger in the consciousness of the citizens: “The Germans know too little about your reason”.

The Federal President paid tribute to the Central role of judges in the development of the basic law defined legal framework. “The decisions of the Federal constitutional court read like a history of the liberal revolution in the Federal Republic of Germany. They helped, authoritarian structures to reduce, as for instance, in the marriage and family law reflected. And you have the basic right to a breakthrough in our society.” A Constitution had to be something like “a haven of peace in the society”, it did not freeze and had to remain open for social and political change.
