The cricket team of Sri Lanka is just travelling around in the great city Karachi, Pakistan. They touring in Pakistan in the consecutive months of September and October of the running year 2019.
The Siri Lankan team visit to play Three (T20I) Twenty International Match series and (ODIs) One-day Internationals matches oppose to Pakistan team. In the year 2017, Siri Lanka had also recently played one match in Pakistan in the month of October. It happened when the third Twenty 20 International held in Lahore at Gaddafi Stadium.
Some of the players of Siri Lankan team are not selected to tour for the match series of T20I and ODI that includes “Lahiru Thirimanne” and “Dasun Shanaka“. Regardless of the failure of Pakistan team to reach in semi-finals for Cricket World Cup, which were played in England in the year 2019.
The captain of the Pakistan team “Sarfraz Ahmad” was kept hold as Captain for that tour. Babar Azam was the Vice-Captian. Sarfraz Ahmad-Captain of the team says at his home during leading the Pakistan team is one of the highlights of my career.
Background:
On the day of selection 9 September 2019, it was confirmed by the players who want to go Pakistan for the series or not. All the players were not willing for the match in Pakistan and these include Dinesh Chandimal, Dhananjaya de Silva, Akila Dananjaya, Kusal Perera, Niroshan Dickwella, Lasith Malinga, Dimuth Karunaratne, Suranga Lakmal, Angelo Mathews, and Thisara Perera.
Exact after two days when Siri Lanka team select themselves the team members for playing series in Pakistan, then the government of Siri Lanka got information about the threat of terrorism in their team. PCB make sure them and handle it in a neutral way. Then, later on, Siri Lanka has confirmed their visit to Pakistan. After two days, PCB has arranged all the series of matches officially.
