Sex and the City will have a reboot soon and the fans of the series are super excited about it. The decision for the revival of the show was made due to the success of the show. The sequel of the series was officially announced by HBO MAX in January 2021.
Sex and the City: What is it about?
Sex and the City is based on Candace Bushnell’s book series. The book was adapted into a TV show and the series was developed by Darren Starr. He is best known for creating the popular series Beverly Hills 90210, Melrose Place, and Emily In Paris. HBO has released six seasons of Sex and the City before and the seasons aired between 1998 and 2004. HBO Max has ordered a revival of the series and this has made the fans of the show really excited.
Sex And the City Release Date
The Sex and the City reboot series will have a total of 10-episodes. The series will air on HBO Max. The new chapter of the series will be called “And Just Like That. The sequel will feature original characters – and the loved characters will be back after a decade. The HBO series concluded in 2004, and 4 years later a 2008 film Sex and the City was released. Another sequel for the movie was released in 2010 sequel Sex and the City 2. The series also had a spinoff and it aired on The CW in the years 2013 and 2014. The Sex and the City revival will start production in spring 2021. The premiere date of the show hasn’t been set but it is highly possible that the series will premiere sometime in spring or summer 2022.

Sex And The City Revival Cast
The original Sex and the City main cast will probably make a return to the show. According to reports, Cattrall will not be making a return to the series.  She will not make a comeback due to her unresolved conflict with Parker. The supporting cast for the series hasn’t been announced as yet. We can expect to see some new faces on the show as well. It is unclear whether the male characters from the series and movies will be returning to the show or not.
Sex And The City Reboot Story
The Sex and the City revival on HBO Max will feature Carrie, Charlotte, and Miranda. They will pursue “love and friendship” in their 50s. The lead cast of the show shared a teaser clip with the fans and the clip features cryptic narration. The tagline for the show is “And just like that… the story continues”. The protagonists will be seen reuniting in New York City for unknown reasons. Parker also shared that pandemic-19 will also be a part of the concept of the show. How the pandemic has affected the lives of the characters will be shown. The show will focus on how relationships change once friends disappear?

Is there a spin-off for Sex In the city before?
The original show ran for six seasons on HBO. The series was adapted into two films. A prequel series called The Carrie Diaries was also released. The sequel starred Anna Sophia Robb as a young Carrie. It ran for two seasons on The CW.
