During the inspections of chicken fresh meat in the German retail sector has been proven, according to a media report, in every second sample, a diarrhea-causing agents.

This could lead, especially in people with weakened immune systems to dangerous diseases, such as the “Rheinische Post” (“RP”/Friday) reported.

Nearly 52 percent of the chicken meat samples contained, therefore, in the past year, the diarrhea pathogen Campylobacter. In 2011, however, had only about 32 percent of the samples, as the newspaper quoted from a response by the Federal government to a written question from the Green group leaders Anton Hofreiter.

In the case of samples gathered from stations of the Federal office for consumer protection and food safety (BVL) directly to the battle, had been found the causative agent in 2017 at just under 79 percent of the broilers.
