Nikki and Brie Bella’s father are opening up about how the twins are feeling while pregnant at the same time amid the coronavirus epidemic.
Nikki and Brie, both 36, were stunned with the announcement to fans that they were not only expecting but only a few weeks apart from their due dates.
The twins’ father, Jonathan Garcia, told Fox News in an interview this week that while the news is incredibly exciting for both sisters, the global health crisis has “absolutely” caused them some apprehensions as quarantines in Arizona.
“Oh, yes, they were very scared,” Garcia said last month of the rapid spread of the virus in the United States. “This is something new for all of us, especially Nikki, who is having her first child.”
Nikki “Dancing with the Stars” Alum is looking forward to Artem Chigwuntsev, while Brie and her husband Daniel Bryan prepare for a family of four. The couple already shares a daughter, 2, Birdie.
Garcia informs that both Nikki and Bree are respecting social removal measures and currently live in each other’s homes.
“The best thing about twins right now is that they belong to each other,” Garcia told Fox News. “They are doing a lot of quarantine. They will move around in one house or another, but that’s the point.”
Garcia shared that the sisters spend their time exercising and working from home, including adding their podcasts.
The excited father said that Nikki is particularly on high alert, this being her first pregnancy.
“When you have your first child, oh boy, you exaggerate everything!” Garcia said. “Brie is there to coach Nikki. She’s doing everything she can to stay safe, but alas, it’s very scary.”
Nikki and Brie’s father lives in Mexico, Mexico, and the girls were seen going on a trip in a recent episode of their reality show “Total Bellas”. A construction worker by trade, Garcia shared that even a simple joke he had done to Nikki left him hesitant to come.
“Joking, I said, ‘Hey Nikki, I’m listening to all this and talking about closing the border. I’m going to hang out there with you!” Garcia recalled. “He said, ‘No, no! You can’t. You hang around with a lot of people.”
“That’s how crazy he is!” Garcia laughs, saying he would “not think twice” about traveling amid the epidemic to see his daughters out of concern for his safety.
The twins are expecting to give birth in late July and early August, their father shared, and they also reveal that the powerhouse couple do not plan to find out what they are doing.
“They’re going to keep them as a surprise, but I think they’re going for both boys,” Garcia said. “It’s going to be an exciting summer!”
