Pervez Musharraf May Return to Active Politics in Pakistan

Pervez Musharraf to make comeback in Pakistan politics, reviving his party APML

Former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf is planning to return to national politics by reinvigorating his party All Pakistan Muslim League (APML). According to a report in a Pakistani news channel, the former president is undergoing treatment for a rare disease in Dubai these days. Along with recovering from illness, he can work to strengthen his party. Musharraf will address his supporters in Islamabad on Sunday through a video link on the occasion of the party’s foundation day present in Dubai.

It is being said that he went to the US for a medical examination last week. At the same time, his party said that Musharraf, who ruled Pakistan for almost a decade, is unlikely to return to Pakistan soon. Let us tell you that Musharraf is under trial for sedition in Pakistan for suspending the constitution in 2007. Musharraf went to Dubai for treatment in 2016 and has not returned since.
