The Per capita consumption of pure alcohol has declined in the past 40 years in this country. Overall, men consume more, however, the risky consumption declined in the past 20 years, while he is in women, although lower overall, the level remained unchanged. In women, consumption of 10 g of pure alcohol as a risky, and for men it is double the amount. This is from the current drug and addiction report of the Federal government.

As the chart from Statista shows, in all provinces, more men a risky alcohol consumption behavior, with the exception of Hamburg. In the Northern German city-state, women have the nose in front, however, the proportion of men is also below average. Nevertheless, Hamburg is in the women’s frontrunner, followed by Berlin and Bavaria. In the case of the men of Thuringia, Saxony and Berlin are in the lead.
