Mercedes-Benz in Germany has been playing for 2017, more than 200,000 vehicles, a Software Update for Diesel. In Europe, there are approximately 630,000 cars, announced manufacturer Daimler on request.

The group had initially started a minor Update-action and then in the summer of 2017 before the “Diesel-summit” with the Federal government announced that around three million of Diesel will be retrofitted with new Software, in order to reduce carbon emissions. In 2018, the KBA demanded yet again, officially the recall of around 700,000 cars and Vans, as Daimler has used the authority considers that an improper shut-down device for the cleaning of exhaust gases.
