Kumiko Okae was a popular Japanese actress, voice actress, and television presenter. She has received all the love and support from her fans. Most of the work she has done so for was loved and accepted by people around the world. She was known for working in various television dramas while she has hosted many entertainment shows too. One of her variety shows Renso Game on NHK has become one of the most popular shows. Kumiko also got the chance to host a popular morning show Hanamaru Market. Bio

Kumiko was born on 23rd August 1956 in Tokyo. She has led a simple life as her family was going through a lot of financial issues. Her siblings and parents both have been supportive. As she decided to continue her career in the entertainment industry she tried to gain success. The acting talent was evident in her and she took full advantage of it.

Death

Many fans were disappointed to know that Kumiko died on 23rd April 2020. Due to some health issues in 2018 and 2019, she couldn’t participate fully in her career. In 2019 had to go through surgery for early-stage breast cancer. The treatment began with Radiation therapy from January to mid-February 2020. The problems increased even further as her immune system also became very weak. In April 2020 Okae started having frequent fever and her health issues became even worse. As things took a bad turn she was admitted to a hospital in Tokyo. She was placed on a ventilator while the doctor diagnosed that she is also suffering from COVID-19. The cause of her death was pneumonia and she died at the age of 63.

 Personal Life and Net Worth

Kumiko got married to actor Baku Ohwada in 1983. The couple is blessed with one daughter Miho Ohwada and they all were living together till her death. Her total net worth happens to be around $1-$5 million. She has earned this entire amount due to her active career all these years. The couple has a big house and they have got a luxurious lifestyle. A lot of money was invested in her treatment but still, she couldn’t survive.
