Koda Kumi was born on 13th November 1982 in Japan. She was born into a family of musicians and that is why talent is evident in her. Her mother was a Koto teacher while her sister Misono is also a popular singer in the band Day after tomorrow. Even her grandfather has been a Shakuhachi master.
