Ivanka Trump Touts New $3B Federal Food Program

Ivanka Trump and United States Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue visited a food service business in Maryland, where they promoted a new $ 3 billion food buying and distribution program, known as the Farmers to Families Food Program Box.

The program provides federal funds to small businesses to distribute food to nonprofit and religious organizations.

“These are 20 to 25-pound boxes of the best fresh produce, often grown locally, and will be delivered to food banks, community and religious organizations, and other nonprofits serving Americans in need across the country.” Ivanka Trump said.”This is a moment of pride for the United States,” said Perdue.

“Actually, it is the best thing we do to bring people together, and certainly to fulfil our motto at USDA, which is to do the right thing and feed everyone.”
