Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu canceled his tour of India. Netanyahu informed Prime Minister Narendra Modi (PM Narendra Modi) about the cancellation of his visit 6 days before his visit. He said that he had to cancel his trip due to the upcoming elections. There is news that Netanyahu will now visit India after the election.

Benjamin Netanyahu, the longest-serving leader of Israel’s prime minister, had failed to form a government in the general elections held in May. In the elections held in May, he faced tough challenges. Netanyahu had then failed to form an alliance. In such a situation, the Israeli parliament had decided to hold elections again. So now general elections are going to be held on September 17 in Israel.

Defense, economic and strategic relations between India and Israel have become very good in the last few years. Significantly, Benjamin Netanyahu first won the election in 1990. This time he was the Prime Minister of Israel for three years. After this, he won again in 2009 and has remained in this post continuously since then.
