International Women’s Day 2022

On this day, 15,000 women demonstrated in New York City to reduce the hours of work, demanding better pay and some other rights. A year later, the Socialist Party of America declared this day as the first National Women’s Day.

In 1910, an international conference of working women took place in Copenhagen, in which it was suggested to celebrate this day as International Women’s Day and gradually this day became popular as International Women’s Day.
