Why some players released and some are retained?
The sponsors believe that hiring some players can be an expensive buy so they are making wise moves to select those players who are able to finish off the game in style but are economical. They are looking out for players who are not overpriced yet know the strategies for winning the game quite well. This time they are looking for two-three international players while others from Indian teams. During the auction some are even planning to bid for fresh talent as they can stay within the team for at least five years to come. As a total of eight franchises are now moving towards the biggest auction we are impatient to know what’s in store.
It will be interesting to see how Kolkata night riders who have released Robin Uthappa and Piyush Chawla will make up the absence of them by filling out the team with either domestic or international players. The industry experts who have been following the auction trend for a long time believe that franchises keep a lot of things in mind before coming up with any conclusion. They hope everything goes out according to the plan but it doesn’t exceed their budget as well.
