Goosebumps: Live-Action Series Adapt All Set To Release On Disney+

Goosebumps will be coming out on Disney+ soon. The live-action series was announced back in April 2020 but it was delayed due to some circumstances. The series is based on R.L. Stine‘s bestselling book franchise Goosebumps. Disney+ will be preparing the series and it will return to the small screen on Disney+. Here is all you need to know about the live-action series.

Disney+ Goosebumps Plot

Goosebumps will be produced by Variety. The 10-episode series will follow the story of a group of five high schoolers. They will unleash supernatural forces that are surrounding their town. They all must work together to fight evil. The teenagers will be facing trouble in spite of their friendships, rivalries, and pasts with each other. They will do anything in order to save the world. They will be learning about their own parents’ teenage secrets in the process.

Goosebumps Team

Nick Stoller & Rob Letterman will be the writers and executive producers on the series. Letterman will be directing the first episode. Neal H. Moritz & Pavun Shetty that were also a part of the Original Film will be back as producers.  Conor Welch of Stoller Global Solutions and Iole Lucchese & Caitlin Friedman of Scholastic Entertainment will also be on board to produce the series. The show will be distributed by Sony Pictures Television Studios.

Goosebumps An Adaptation of A Book

Goosebumps is an adaptation of a popular book that has over 350 million English-language books in print. The book had its international release edition in 32 languages. Stine’s Goosebumps is one of the best-selling book series in history and proved to be a massive multi-platform money-maker for the writer over the years.

The anthology series was a massive hit 1990s. It found a new life on Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, and many other on-demand services. Moritz has produced two films that were based on the books. The fictional version of the book includes Jack Black: 2015’s Goosebumps and 2018’s Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween. The adaptations grossed around $250 million.

Goosebumps Producer Statement About the Series

Lucchese revealed that the series is a natural extension of the franchise’s brand. This is what he told the media when the show was first announced:
