FDP-Chef Christian Lindner is open to a debate on a Central Abitur in Germany. “I consider the formation of competition between the 16 Federal States of Germany, how we practice him, for from the time of favor,” said Lindner the Newspapers of the Funke media group.

“Common education standards must be implemented. A Central Abitur could be a Element,” said Lindner more. The FDP is in talks about a further change of the basic law to enter.

Baden-württemberg’s Minister of culture, Susanne Eisenmann (CDU) had called for the beginning of the month, that in Germany within five to ten years, a Central Abitur is introduced.

Federal Minister of education, Anja Karliczek (CDU) said then, Eisenman’s ideas were “in the right direction,” OECD education Director Andreas Schleicher, Germany, recommended that a Central high school. CSU leader Markus Söder granted such claims, however, a clear rejection. Education in Germany is the responsibility of the States.

The Thuringian Minister of education Helmut Holter pleaded for a further standardization of the tasks. “The way to the centralized a-levels, must lead the common pool of Tasks, the tests must, as well as the curricula and hours of step panels to be adjusted,” said the Left-politician, the spark of Newspapers. The conference of Ministers of education should set concrete deadlines by when which step is implemented needs to be.

the contradiction comes from the Saarland: “equivalence has nothing to do with egalitarianism,” said education Secretary of state Christine Streichert-Clivot (SPD). “A nationwide Central ‘Abitur’ is neither a fair Abitur exam, a comparable GPA.”

The CSU refused to make any debate about a Central Abitur in Germany categorically. “That Christian Lindner calls for a Central-OJ, is understandable, because he himself has NRW-Abi”, said CSU Secretary General Markus Blume on Friday, the German press Agency in Munich. For the CSU, it was clear that there would be with no Central Abitur. Just as had been expressed, most recently, CSU leader Markus Söder.

“We want the best education for our students, and no German average. We are looking for performance and competition, and against socialist egalitarianism,” stressed flower. Once more: At the crucial questions no reliance on the FDP.
