Eggless Carrot Cake with whole wheat flour recipe

  • 1 cup + 1 tbsp whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup grated carrots
  • 1/2 cup castor sugar
  • 3 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence optional
  • 1 cup milk

Let’s look at the method

You need to have a carrot grater to grate the carrot into thin pieces. When you are done grating the carrot take tablespoon flour and pour it on the carrot. Mix it well so that the carrots don’t stick on the pan. Flour would help to make the carrots non sticky in the pan. Add baking flour, baking soda and cinnamon in the mixture and mix everything well. Keep it at the side to add it later in the whole mixture. Take a separate bowl and mix vanilla essence, oil and sugar and blend it well so that no sugar drops can be found floating around. Add flour and milk and keep mixing it well till it gets blended properly. Add the whole mixture to the carrots placed in the pan.


Take a tin and grease it with oil. Pour the whole batter in the tin and preheat an oven. Make sure to preheat the oven for 40 minutes. Make sure to check that the oven is heated properly because the cake is well settled if the oven is heated properly.

Cooking Time of the recipe

The preparation of the ingredients can take you about 20 minutes. If you have prepared for the ingredients beforehand you can also cut off the time. The mixing of the ingredients can also take about 5 to 10 minutes in total because the cake recipes require blending and mixing properly. The cooking time is for 40 minutes. Once the heated oven has the cake mixture inside it takes about 40 to 45 minutes for the cake to settle down.
