Shortly after this, talk started about how Chhapak has earned only a handful compared to Ajay Devgan’s Tanaji. While Tanaji had earned 60 crores in three days, Chhapak had earned 19.02 crores in three days. The special thing is that Deepika Padukone’s Chhapak got positive word of mouth, due to which the film benefited.
According to the report of Bollywood Hungama, Deepika’s Chhapak has grossed 32.48 crores at the box office.
Figures don’t flop
Now, according to trade analyst Joginder Tuteja, the film Chhapak, made in the budget of 35 crores (23 costs +12 PR), has earned 23 crores from its streaming rights and 3 crores from its music rights. According to Tuteja’s report, Chhapak’s total earnings are 58.48 crores, which is much more than its budget.
