Deepika Padukone’s Chhapaak has done a fantastic box office collection on the third day. It is slowly moving towards extracting its cost.
Deepika Padukone-Vikrant Massey starrer Chhapaak is standing strongly on the ticket window even on the third day. The film has done a good collection on the third day. While Ajay Devgn’s Tanaji The Unsung Warrior is seen moving rapidly towards 100 crores, on the other hand, Deepika’s splash is slowly moving towards removing its cost.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh has shared the third day box office collection of Chhapaak. The film has grossed 7.35 crores on Sunday on the third day. Earlier, collections of 4.77 crore were made on Friday and 6.90 crore on Saturday. Overall, in three days, Chhapaak has done the business of 19.02 crores. This collection of Weekend Chhapak is fantastic in terms of budget.
#Chhapaak sees day-wise growth, but the weekend trending is good, not great… Collects well at premium multiplexes of urban sectors mainly… Needs to trend well on weekdays for a healthy Week 1 total… Fri 4.77 cr, Sat 6.90 cr, Sun 7.35 cr. Total: ₹ 19.02 cr. #India biz.

Film budget
Chhapaak has received 1700 screens across the country and 460 screens abroad. Overall, the film has been released on 2160 screens. The estimated budget of Chhapaak is 35-40 crores. On the first day, the film opened according to the expectations of trade experts. If you look at the earnings of the second and third day, then the collection graph of the film is becoming stronger.
#Chhapaak witnesses an upward trend on Day 2, but the 2-day total is underwhelming… Decent at premium multiplexes, but unable to connect *and* collect beyond metros… Needs to cover lost ground on Day 3… Fri 4.77 cr, Sat 6.90 cr. Total: ₹ 11.67 cr. #India biz.

The acting of both Deepika Padukone and Vikrant Massey in Meghna Gulzar directed Chhapaak is also being appreciated. Critics have described it as Deepika’s masterpiece. Champak acid attack is built on the true story of Survivor Lakshmi Aggarwal. In the film, Deepika plays Lakshmi and Vikrant Massey plays Amol Dixit, real-life partner of Lakshmi.
