The Federal government wants to make finally clear the way for the approval of electric scooters in German cities.

The Federal Council had decided last Friday, Changes to the original plans of the Federal Minister of transport, Andreas Scheuer (CSU) – these Changes are now being incorporated into a proposed regulation. Expected in June, the regulation should enter into force. When exactly the so-called E-scooters in Germany will be allowed to be, is not yet known.

The Federal Council had changed important safety rules. Driver must be at least 14 years old and Biking trails to use, even if you are on slower models on the road. Sidewalks will remain for the new Companion to the protection of pedestrians taboo. The Federal government had announced the Changes will now be implemented rapidly.
