There are several things you can do while you stay in Boston and that too free of cost. You can thoroughly enjoy your time without having to spend a lot of money. Boston is a historical city and its history dates to the founding of the country. Following is a list of things you can do in Boston:

Tour Faneuil Hall:

The Hall has a long history and has been a meeting place since the 1740s, before the Revolutionary war many speeches were given here about American Independence. To enjoy your time at the hall, you can grab a meal from the renowned Quincy market and head outside to watch people go by or just enjoy the entire environment at the Faneuil hall.

Enjoy a concert at the Hatch Shell:

Hatch Shell was built in 1928, and a lot of famous Pops play at the Shell on July 4th along with a plethora of free summertime concerts. Sometimes movies are also played at the Hatch Shell at night. You can relax by the Charles River and enjoy the shows at the Hatch Shell.

Harvard is the oldest university in America, founded in 1636. The university is famous worldwide and is ranked amongst the top universities in the world. To enjoy your time in the city, you can take a tour of the university, explore its architecture, learn about its history and a lot more. You can also take a free tour around the university. You can also spend your time listening to the street musicians at the university.

Free of cost beer tours:

Named after the famous statesman and Founding Father Samuel Adams, Sam Adams, a major Boston brewery offer free tours. They will also let you have a taste of the beer if you are not over 21. But you can relax, even if you are over 21 you can enjoy the tour and learn about the history of beer making and brewery, but you will not be able to taste the sample.

Tour the Bunker Hill Monument:

The Battle of Bunker Hill fought in 1775, was one of the major American Revolutionary wars. The monument is reminiscent of America’s history and its struggle for independence. The monument is 221 feet tall and you are free to climb it to the top. You can also visit the museum nearby.

Take a tour around MIT:

MIT, Massachusetts Institute of Technology is the world’s top-ranked university. The campus is a work of art and is a place you must visit while you stay in Boston. Get a free map from the information office and tour the university by yourself, free of cost.

Blue Hills reservation:

Blue Hills reservation, standing at 635 feet approx., minutes outside Boston Downtown, is a tourist attraction and is frequented by nature enthusiast. Tourists can hike, bike, ski and swim at the Blue Hills reservation and enjoy the beautiful scenery from the top.
