Beginners Guide To Car Tuning

RaceMe is a professional service offer for car drivers, which focuses on improving the performance of a car through tuning. For those who just got a car, they need to understand that maintaining a car is very important. Tuning improves the capabilities of a car, and if it is not done, then that would mean the driver isn’t enhancing its performance.

Making Modifications

Tuning is all about making modifications to a car. However, the driver should never make those modifications, which only improve the look of the car. They should make modifications, which are absolutely needed. Similarly, a driver should decide if he wants to have permanent modification or bolt on modifications in the tuning process. Bold on modifications would save the driver from voiding the warranty of the car, and they can sell their car easily in the future.

Condition of the car

Before tuning a car, the driver should look at the condition of the car. If the car is in a good condition, then it is best to tune it. However, if the car has issues like a poor suspension system, then it would benefit from an increase in horsepower. Moreover, the driver should consider his tuning preferences, and then see if the car he has, is a suitable platform for implementing those preferences. Most cars won’t be able to take the modifications that are executed, because they don’t have a suitable platform for them.

Kinds of Tuning Required

Each car needs a different kind of tuning. For example, a streetcar would need a different tuning, compared to a truck.

The first type of car tuning needed is the suspension. In suspension, the driver purchases a set of lowering springs. These springs can help the driver handle the car better, as the spring rates increase. This won’t impact the ride’s quality, but will only lower down the ride’s height.

The second type of tuning is for the engine, to make it breathe better. The best way to make an engine breathe is by installing a cold air intake system. This system would feed more air to the engine, and make it possible to eliminate exhaust gases at a fast speed. Even though it is expensive, a cold air intake system has longer piping, and is more effective than a short piping solution.

Alloy wheels should be the next modification a driver can make. Alloy wheels make the suspension system more responsive, because stock alloys can be hard to keep grounded. When the suspension system improves, then that would give the driver more control over the car. There would be more road grip, and less chances of the driver encountering an accident.

Lastly, in tuning a car, RaceMe would recommend clients to enhance their brakes. They should swap the stock brakes for performance oriented brakes, as this can really improve the performance of a car. If the car has stopping power, then the driver would be more confident in pushing the car to its limits.

Either contact a professional or DIY. However, if someone doesn’t have the proper technical knowledge, then contacting a professional for tuning a car is the right thing to do.
