In fact, that is why I wrote this article, to show you how you can use vitamin D (VD) and vitamin B12 (VB12) as a back pain remedy from the comfort of your own home.

I decided to write this guide after I discovered that vitamin D deficiency can cause back trouble, sciatica, fibromyalgia, osteoporosis too. Read on…

Back Pain Remedy #1 – Vitamin D…

You may not be aware of the facts, but research indicates that the current daily vitamin D requirement of 400 IU is not sufficient. New findings recommend a vitamin D intake of between 2000 IU to 4000 IU daily.

Now, while it is possible for you to absorb up to approximately 10,000 IU of vitamin D daily while under the sun, this can only be achieved if you live (or are vacationing) in a sunny region where the rays of the sun is strong.

So what happens to people who live in less sunny areas, or those who cannot spend the day basking under the sunlight?

Well, there is an alternative method of deriving the required daily vitamin D intake; eating foods that have high vitamin D content…

These foods include, but are not limited to, the following; milk, fish (especially herring and catfish), grains, cod liver oil (which has a particularly high vitamin D content), shellfish (you may choose to go for oysters which are known to contain a good amount of this vitamin), salmon, halibut and steelhead trout.

Other foods that contain vitamin D include; tuna, oatmeal, infant formula, orange juice and so on. Taking a healthy dose of these foods will give you the daily requirement of vitamin D which your body needs to remedy backache.

Back Pain Remedy #2 – Vitamin B12…

Vitamin B12 is also an effective back pain remedy that many have used to relieve their pain. The disadvantage of vitamin B12 is that it is not easily absorbed in the stomach.

To counteract this, you should take vitamin B12 sublingually which simply means that you will be required to place it underneath your tongue. Another way to get vitamin B12 into your system is by injection.
