AJ Mendez Comments On Whether She Will Wrestle or Not
AJ has commented on whether she will wrestle in future or not. Her fans are anxiously waiting for her return some time now. Here is what she has to say:
“I’m going to keep it feeling great by not wrestling’’. She got a late-career neck journey during her recent appearance on ‘The Sessions’ with Renee Paquette. Here is what she has to reveal about it: “I hurt my neck really bad the last year, and when it happened in the ring, I thought I was paralyzed, which was the scariest thing ever.”
AJ made her WWE debut on Season three of ‘NXT’ in the late 2010. Back then she was a part of a Kayfabe game show. In this she came into the third place leaving behind Naomi and eventually the winner Kaitlyn. All three of them were hired by WWE along with some fellow participants Aksana and Maxine. They all will later star in ‘Lucha Underground’ as Catrina.
It is not surprising how she became one of the most successful competitors of the current Divas era. If this isn’t enough she racked up three Divas Championships that include a record setting. She reigned for around 295 days that was only eclipsed by Nikki Bella’s 301.

She isn’t exactly sure when she actually hurt her neck. However she is pretty much sure that it was her match with Paige that gave her an injury. The bad news is that it will even force her into retirement with a neck injury. Their lengthy feud was one of the last major program before retiring. Here is what she has to say:
“I like, jumped a little early and I landed on the top of my head, couldn’t feel my legs, and they were like, ‘You gotta sell to hard cam,’ and I was like, [whispering] ‘I can’t feel my legs.’ And then I just roll over and sell to harm cam. “And then I got my feeling back and went to the doctor, it turned out three of my discs are so compacted it is shutting off a nerve, so my hands just go numb randomly …
I had the option to do surgery to alleviate that pain or do rehab, and I went the rehab route. As I was doing rehab and I was still on the road as champion … My hands still go numb, but other than that, I was very lucky!”
