On the way to a burglary, a police officer has been seriously injured in an accident. The police did not suspected on Saturday night to a break-in in North Rhine-Westphalia, the witness is the perpetrator still in the house, the officials said.

A 22-year-old drivers have one of the two with Martin horn and blue light driving strip overlooked the car in Kerpen, as he wanted to turn into a driveway. As a result, the cars came together and the patrol car crashed head-on into a wall in a House.

The 50-year-old policeman who had been sitting alone in the patrol car, had to be freed by firefighters from his car. He suffered severe, but not life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital. The driver of the second accident car and his two Passengers were slightly injured. The damage to the police are estimated to be 350,000 Euro. The burglar was not able to provide the police.
