The Federal employment Agency (BA) announced today (10.00 PM) the Hartz-IV-sanctions statistics for the year 2018. In the first six months of last year, BA had recorded approximately 449 550 penalties were approximately 25 800 less than in the prior-year period.

The penalty rate – the ratio of the imposed penalty to all working-age beneficiaries – still located at 3.1 percent. With 77.4 percent, a majority of the sanctions are not attributable to reporting omissions – so if someone takes, for example, an appointment at the Jobcenter true, and an important reason is missing. Penalties there are, if the offered Jobs are rejected.

The social code book II prescribes the sanctions. In the case of serious breaches of duty, the entire support may be removed on time. The SPD wants to loosen the penalties, the Union is against it. Finally, the BA registered approximately 4.02 million Hartz-IV recipients. The set of rules eligible for a working power currently amounts to 424 euros.
