German foreign Minister Heiko Maas has warned the Brits that the decision on the Brexit about the end of October to postpone.

“you will have to decide by October what they want,” said the SPD politician of the British newspaper “Financial Times” (Tuesday). You can’t extend the Brexit process for over a decade. “A further extension could send the Signal that you want to stay in the EU,” said Maas.

In the past week had agreed to the remaining 27 EU member States, to grant the British a reprieve for the EU-exit of the country until the end of October. A former Brexit is possible, however, if the divided British politics agrees on a compromise on the future of relations with the EU.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel was, as the majority of the EU heads of state and government heads for a long shift – nine to twelve months in the conversation. The President of France, Emmanuel Macron wanted a short period of time and demanded strict conditions for the British.

Maas said the “Financial Times” that he had not given up hope that the British Parliament approves the Prime Minister Theresa May proposed Brexit-agreement in good time before the European elections end of may. It is absurd to say, to want the European Union to leave, and then still take part in the election.
