Due to the severe crisis in Venezuela, the UN considers human rights Commissioner, Michelle Bachelet, a visit to the South American country.

“First of all, we want to make sure that I can speak to during a visit with all the stakeholders,” she said in Mexico city. “We are looking at what would be a good time.”

After the recent visit of a UN team in Venezuela, Bachelet heavy people had spoken rights violations in the South American country. State security forces loyal to the government thugs were responsible for killings, torture and arbitrary arrests. In addition, she was concerned about the poor supply situation and the appalling state of health care in the once-rich country.

the head of state, Nicolás Maduro, and the self-appointed interim President, Juan Guaidó supply since January a fierce battle. A number of countries have recognized Guaidó already as the rightful interim President, in Venezuela, he cannot enforce yet. “As the United Nations, we call on the government and the Opposition to engage in dialogue and to seek a political solution,” said Bachelet.
